WVAS-FM’s Jazz Festival to Feature Freddy Cole at the Riverwalk
Jazz lovers throughout the River Region are in store for great music, food and fun, as the Nat King Cole Society Jazz Festival, co-sponsored by ASU’s WVAS-FM, returns to downtown Montgomery.
Alabama State University’s WVAS 90.7 will present its annual Nat King Cole Society Jazz Festival on Sunday, September 1, at the Riverwalk Amphitheater in downtown Montgomery. Gates open at 4 p.m., and it’s “horns in the air” at 5 p.m.
WVAS will celebrate Nat King Cole’s 100th birthday with a special performance by his brother, international recording artist Freddy Cole, along with other guest artists.
The Festival also will include a variety of food and other vendors as well as fun activities for children. Tickets are $20 for adults, $35 for VIP. Tickets are $2 for children 6 and under and are available only at the gate. Online sales are available at www.xgcszxb.com/labordayclassic.
